JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION
AND IS NAMED LARGEST CORPORATE WALK TEAM

Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU) raised over $11,900 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and was named the largest corporate walk team with 76 registered walkers.
AAFCU sold paper shoes for $1.00 each at all 10 branch locations and formed a corporate walk team to raise funds for the JDRF’s Walk to Cure Diabetes that took place on September 16, 2006 at America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs. AAFCU was a Bronze level sponsor of this years walk contributing $2,500 and also raised $9,435.20 from shoe sales and walker pledges. All proceeds were donated to the JDRF to fund important research that will hopefully lead to a cure.
