Secure Sites

Do not enter personal/confidential information into a site unless the site is secure. Any data transmitted to a non-secure site is visible to anyone listening to the conversation. Plus, if the site is unwilling to secure the transmission of your confidential information, what are the chances that they will protect the data once they have it? A secure site should begin with https in the address bar and display a lock next to the address bar (in Internet Explorer 7). (Figure 1).
