Recent changes to Federal Regulation Z may affect how you apply for and how Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU) advances funds for particular loan requests. Specifically, the changes affect the account feature categories within your Credit Line Account Agreement and Disclosure. Effective September 1, 2010, AAFCU will no longer advance funds under your current open-end lending agreement and disclosure. If you have an existing open-end loan in one of the impacted categories, this change will not affect your rate of interest, due date, payment amount, etc.; however, you will no longer be able to advance subsequent funds. You will be required to complete a new application for any subsequent loan. Please note this change affects only particular consumer loans, and does not apply to any mortgage, second mortgage, Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC), or overdraft line of credit you may have with AAFCU.
Air Academy Federal Credit Union is making changes to the Visa gift card and reloadable card programs effective August 22, 2010.
Changes to card program:
Federal law, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, and implementing regulations prohibit business members from receiving deposits or other credits of any kind relating to their operation of an illegal internet gambling business. Air Academy Federal Credit Union is required to enforce that prohibition.
