It's easy to qualify for the MAAXIMUM rate - all you have to do is meet these simple criteria each monthly qualification cycle. If you don't meet the criteria this qualification cycle, you still get the base rate, and you can try again next time!

What happens if qualifications are not satisfied for a qualification cycle?
- You will earn the base rate on your MAAXIMUM Checking account balance
- ATM fees are not reimbursed
- You will receive the MAAXIMUM rate your first qualification cycle, even if the qualifications are not met.

MAAXIMUM rate paid on balances between one penny and $25,000 each qualification cycle the minimum requirements are met. A monthly qualification cycle is defined as the period between the last business day of the month and the next to last business day of the following month. PIN-based purchases do not count toward the 12 minimum required purchases. A lower rate is paid on all amounts above $25,000. If qualifications are not met per qualification cycle, the account will earn the base rate. No minimum balance to earn rewards required. No monthly service charge. Rates may change after the account is opened. Fees or other conditions may reduce earnings. Qualifying transactions must post and clear to the account during the monthly qualification cycle. Transactions may take one or more banking days from the date the transaction was made to post to an account. Intra‐bank transfers do not count as qualifying transactions.
