Fraud Prevention Service
AAFCU has a new fraud prevention service that notifies members of unusual activity on their Visa® debit cards by text messages and automated phone calls. The service will ask the member to confirm whether they initiated the transaction or not via text or an automated phone call.

The safety and security of your account is important to AAFCU. We partner with our debit card processor to provide continual monitoring of your debit card transactions. If any transaction is identified as suspicious, attempts will be made to contact you by phone and/or by text message.
When making plans to take a vacation or heading out of town on business, please be aware restrictions to your debit card may be in place when traveling away from your home area. Without prior notification, transactions out of your home area may be flagged as suspicious and our Fraud Department may block your card to prevent fraudulent activity on your account. Before heading out of town, be sure to contact us to place a travel alert on your debit card to avoid any service interruption.
If at any time you believe a transaction is fraudulent, please contact us immediately at 800.223.1983, or visit any AAFCU branch location for assistance in obtaining a new debit card during normal business hours. You can report a lost or stolen debit card after normal business hours at 800.528.2273.
