We offer a structured, paid program to a limited number of high school students interested in gaining experience in the financial services field.
Our High School Internship Program gives students the opportunity to learn about financial products and services, as well as develop career skills in a professional work environment.
1. Learn and Grow
Growth is our mindset. Employees are encouraged to take online classes, shadow other departments, and personally meet with our CEO and other members of our Senior Leadership Team for coaching. We take the time to learn about other areas of the credit union outside our home departments. Our generous tuition reimbursement program helps employees reach their personal and professional goals. From our CEO to our entry level positions, we make the growth of our people a priority.

Full-time employees of AAFCU enjoy paid time off, federal holidays off, and typically a 40-hour work week to maintain good work/life balance. We encourage and support employees spending time with friends and family, as well as pursuing the things they are passionate about in their community.
Vacation time
AAFCU offers paid vacation time for all full and part-time employees. This accrues each pay period. The number of hours accrued depends on length of employment.
Sick Leave
AAFCU offers paid sick leave for all full and part-time employees.
AAFCU does have paid holidays for all full-time employees.
AAFCU has a 401K matching contribution that is one of the best in the industry. For every dollar you contribute up to 6% of your compensation, AAFCU may contribute one dollar. Two year vesting schedule (must work 1,000 hours minimum per year to count as service year). The plan includes multiple investments and an option for a Roth 401K.
AAFCU is a continual learning organization that encourages and supports employee self-development and education. AAFCU offers undergraduate/graduate educational reimbursement to all full-time employees who have completed at least 90 days of service or part-time employees who have worked a minimum of 500 hours and 6 months of service.
Employees may receive up to a maximum of $5,250 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement, (application fees, books, and course fees are excluded) for undergraduate or graduate college level course work that meets the requirements of the program specifications.
On-site training offered every Wednesday morning from 8:00-10:00am utilizing E-learning modules and in person training.
AAFCU offers medical, dental and vision insurance to full-time employees and their dependents. We partner with major carriers to provide our employees the service they deserve.
Arrangements for childcare and medical expense reimbursements (eligible to full-time employees).
Short Term and Long Term Disability: AAFCU provides options that offer income replacement in the event of a disability that prevents an employee from working for a period of time.
Basic Life Insurance and AD&D
AAFCU provides full-time employees, at no cost to you, with group life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
Voluntary Life
AAFCU offers full-time employees the opportunity to purchase additional group life insurance for themselves, and their dependents.
Provides supplemental insurance for individuals to help pay benefits major medical insurance doesn't cover.
