On April 7, 2014, security researchers announced the discovery of a vulnerability in versions of OpenSSL software referred to as “The Heartbleed Bug.” As communicated in the media, this vulnerability, if exploited, could allow unauthorized user access to servers.
AAFCU has tested our systems and we found no evidence indicating that any member information has been compromised or that any of our systems have been accessed by unauthorized users. Additionally, we have taken the recommended actions to update our security systems. AAFCU has also verified our vendor partners are not susceptible to The Heartbleed Bug vulnerability.
