1.) Start saving as soon as you can

It’s never too early to start saving for the upcoming holiday season! Even a few extra dollars per paycheck can go a long way when it comes time to use it. Try putting all your spare change in a jar each day, or set up an automatic transfer from checking to savings each month!

2.) Be flexible

Be flexible on using anther airport, or certain times. You can save alot by flying out of a different location, or taking a midnight flight! When searching for your tickets, check out all your options!

3.) Pack light

When you're planning your flight, make sure to remember to pack light. Airlines have increased their fees on luggage and how many bags your allowed to take verse paying for. Make sure before you pack you check your flights policy to see how many you're allowed. If you're allowed a free carry on, try packing only one carry one to save money, and you won't need to check a bag! It is also a good idea to check the flights policy on personal items. Some airlines allow you to carry a backpack or purse on the plane free of charge! Don't forget to utilize this as part of your packing! 

4.) Don’t make any purchase while at the airport

Shopping at the airport can get expensive. Try not to buy anything unless it's a necessity. Window-shopping is a great way to pass time, also try bringing a book, a smart device or game to pass the time as well. 

5.) Find a seasonal job 

Try finding a seasonal job to pull in extra money so the expense of holiday traveling is more manageable. Earning extra money for the holiday season can help offset the travel costs!
