Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb penne or mostaccioli pasta

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 large onions, diced

  • 2 15-oz cans of tomato sauce

  • 1 (44 oz) jar of marinara sauce

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a six-quart pot.

  2. Add diced onions and saute until they start turning clear.

  3. Add ground beef and stir/chop until meat is completely broken into small pieces and browned. Should take about 5-10 minutes.

  4. Add tomato sauce, then fill each can with water and add to pot.

  5. Add marinara sauce and bring pot to boil.

  6. Add pasta and simmer, covered, about 30 minutes, or until most of the liquid cooks out.
