Want to make the best impression possible at your job interview? Use these interview tips to help you out!

  1. Increase your knowledge about the workplace you're applying at as much as possible. Demonstrating that you’re knowledgable about the company is a great way to impress the interviewer.

  2. Do a quick online search for some commonly asked interview questions and start practing a couple of answers so when you're asked, you are as prepared as possible during the real thing.

  3. Stary away from using words like “um” or “uh,” and, of course, do not use swear words.

  4. Make sure that you are presenting yourself as a confident interviewee. Use a firm handshake. Make good eye contact with the interviewer(s). Answer questions as quick as possible and make sure that they are concise and to the point.

  5. No matter how the interview went, make sure to leave a lasting impression when concluding the interview. Smile, thank the interviewer for their time, say that it was a pleasure to meet them, and that you look forward to hearing from them.

Later that day, send the interviewer a quick email or a thank you card showing your appreciation for their time. This way, you will stand out from among the dozens of other potential competition they may have met that day.
